Merging game design principles with AI innovation for more engaging products.

I'm an optimistic and obsessively-organized Product Designer with over 15 years of creative experience. I collaborate with executives and development teams to push visionary thinking further, eliminate inefficiencies, and add a little more energy to each day.

What I excel at

Product + web design

I love building products and websites with large emotive imagery, a compelling narrative to navigate, thoughtful use of white space, styling that meets web accessibility standards, and strong search engine optimization.

Organization + efficiency

Clutter and slow paces give me heartburn. To get my teams functioning at their highest potential, I will organize everything from folders to calendars and seek out parts of the business operations that can be supported or fully automated by integrated features.

Branding + marketing

To enhance the effectiveness of a product or website, I can produce brand strategies, copywriting, bespoke iconography, and other digital design works that align with the new direction that the business is headed.

The quick story

Hustle mode

The first 8 years of my career were spent in advertising before I transitioned to tech during my time in the video game industry. This has made me capable of owning the full Product Design phase from research to hi-res polish, along with the skills to create marketing campaigns for the new release.

In the last few positions I’ve held, my diverse history has also made me uniquely qualified to bridge the vast gaps found between Product and Marketing departments, where I would be made responsible for improving organizational cohesion and giving users a more seamless experience from first impression to conversion and beyond. In order to be effective in this undertaking, I also had to establish strong communication and project management skills.

My ideal role is one that takes advantage of both my structured, operational skills and my long history with creative development. While my main mastery is Product Design, I’m always ready to flex to keep momentum going and support the success of the business.

Mama time

When I'm not working, I'm listening to 1 book per week, organizing everything we own, building LEGO’s and crafts with my son, and traveling to new places with a Tentbox on top of our car!

The full story:

I started BRDG because I wanted to lower the barrier to entry into entrepreneurship and support small businesses. They’re a vital part of our economy and the future of innovation.

I wanted to be the person that was called the day someone put their two-weeks in. Then, over those two weeks, help them quickly build the foundation they would need to confidently begin networking and selling. I’ve now proudly supported the success of dozens of new entrepreneurs and thriving small businesses.

For each BRDG project, I led creative development and pulled together niche experts to deliver everything our clients needed. After each development phase wraps up, I teach the owners how to manage their website, so that they feel in control of their company and its messaging, instead of forcing them to be dependent on paying someone to make all updates for them.

Education

Business

University of Wisconsin

I pursued a Business degree with a focus in Marketing. Because Business felt a little too generalized, I took additional courses in Graphic Design and Advertising. While there, I held an Officer role in the University’s Ad Club.

Visual Arts

Milwaukee School of the Arts

I was one of two students that were selected for a rare Photography focus and given full access to the dark room. In addition to my regular studies, I completed two advanced courses and acquired an Advanced Art History Certificate.
